Introducing: Spotlight On Youth Voice

Over summer we’ve heard some great stories from our partners as part of our Spotlight On Healthy Choices, hearing their views and how the #BeeWell programme has supported their young people.

Missed it? Check out some of our highlights from this Spotlight On including:

  • Guest blog from our coalition partner Energise Me who are passionate about helping children and young people move more every day. In this post, they highlight the importance of regular physical activity and share top tips to make movement fun, achievable, and part of everyday life.
  • Our latest catch-up with our coalition partner, Salford Community Leisure (SCL) revealed how they’re applying #BeeWell insights to strengthen youth provision across Salford. Using the data, SCL has been able to champion investment in local physical activity and spotlight the needs of young people in areas like Broughton.

October marked the launch of our Spotlight on Youth Voice , a celebration of the many ways young people are shaping the future of wellbeing across our communities.

We’re thrilled to announce the opening of the #BeeWell 2025 survey window, an exciting opportunity to listen to the voices of thousands of young people and better understand what matters most to them.

In recent months, we’ve been working closely with Year 7 pupils in GM through interactive workshops to ensure the survey is as accessible, engaging, and inclusive as possible for everyone taking part.

We’re also shining a light on our partners and how they’re using #BeeWell data to improve young people’s wellbeing, including:

  • The Girl Guiding Self-Esteem Project in HIPS – As part of Girlguiding’s new strategy and vision to develop Girlguiding-inspired experiences, this innovative programme, Girls Solve, focuses on empowering young women and building self-esteem.
  • Steppin’ Up Dance – A new social action programme using dance to inspire, connect, and empower children and young people to make a difference in their communities.
  • New stories on what everyday success means to members of the Youth Steering Group in Greater Manchester

Together, these projects highlight the power of listening to young voices and turning their insights into meaningful action.
