Director of Public Service Reform, Greater Manchester Combined Authority
Jane joined Greater Manchester Combined Authority in 2015 where she now leads a variety of social policy programmes that aim to improve outcomes for the residents of Greater Manchester city-region. These include Early Years and School Readiness, Children & Young People, Tackling Food Insecurity, Homelessness & Rough Sleeping, Asylum & Refugees, Multiple Disadvantage, the Armed Forces covenant, Gambling Harm Reduction and the GM Ageing Hub.
In her current role, she leads on the city-region mayoral reform priorities; developing collaborative cross-sector strategic working relations and enabling conditions for innovation to flourish. Jane led the production of Greater Manchester’s first white paper which has attracted national attention in the bold ambition it sets out for unified public services that are anchored to people, prevention and place. With over 30 years’ experience in Local Government, Jane has worked extensively with system leaders at local, regional and national levels. Jane has a particular interest in finding new ways to collaborate to tackle big social issues bringing about system change for long lasting effect.
