#BeeWell will hear the voices of over 60,000 young people with 200 secondary schools now signed up!

Welcome back to a new school year from all of us at #BeeWell. We hope you enjoyed a well-deserved break and feel somewhat refreshed for the year ahead! We are thrilled to announce that we now have 200 secondary schools signed up to take part in #BeeWell. This represents almost 90% of mainstream settings across Greater Manchester, alongside independent and special schools, pupil referral units and alterative provision. It’s not too late for schools to take part this year, with the sign-up window closing on September 17th, so spread the word and encourage others to sign up at: beewellprogramme.org .

Save the Date: 23rd-24th September is #BeeWellDay

To mark the launch of the #BeeWell survey in schools, the #BeeWell team and 42nd Street have a range of activities planned across the 23rd and 24th of September. Events have been designed by our Youth Steering Group and will be both in-person and online. Join us for live performances, activities, competitions, guest speakers, workshops and more as we celebrate young people’s wellbeing across Greater Manchester!

As part of the lead-up to #BeeWell Day, we have been working with four wonderful creative organisations to create multimedia commissions that will be exhibited on the 23rd of September. Young people from Bury Youth TheatreKYSOReform Radio and Spectrum Gaming will be answering the question “What makes you happy?” using a range of different media.

We have also received brilliant entries from young people for our Creative Competition answering the question “What does wellbeing mean to you?” – winners will be announced on #BeeWell Day and entries will be showcased in our all-day exhibit.

We have more announcements to come about venues, special guests and more, keep an eye on our social media for more details. Want to get involved? Get in touch at beewell@manchester.ac.uk.

#BeeWell has a logo!

The #BeeWell team are excited to launch our new logo, designed by a brilliant young artist from 42nd Street.

The young artist, inspired by her personal experience with mental health services, wanted to capture bright colours and the holistic nature of wellbeing. Inspired by the logo design, we have curated a visual identity that is in use across our social media – follow us on InstagramTwitter, and LinkedIn to see more.
