Happy New Year from team #BeeWell! We hope this newsletter finds you as excited for the new year as we are, with so much planned for 2022.
#BeeWell survey results
Six researchers in the #BeeWell team are currently analysing the findings from almost 40,000 completed surveys from young people across Greater Manchester.
Later this month, bespoke data reports and dashboards will be arriving with schools that completed the #BeeWell survey. Towards the end of March, #BeeWell will be publishing the data at a neighbourhood level, and we will be celebrating and encouraging responses to the key findings.
Our partners, both across Greater Manchester and nationally, will be able to use the survey results to listen to the voices of young people and act together for change.
New partnership with Big Change!
We’re excited to share with you that #BeeWell has now confirmed a funding partnership with Big Change, who support projects that are delivering bold initiatives to change education.
This funding will go directly to support young people in responding to the #BeeWell data, to champion creative and engaging responses to what young people have told us is important. Supported by the fantastic Youth Focus North West, young people will be able to access a commissioning pot of £10k per year to invest in response to the #BeeWell survey results.
#BeeWell Young Researcher Programme begins later this month
In January, our #BeeWell Young Researcher Programme will begin! The programme will welcome and support Year 10 pupils to become Young Researchers, shaping and directing elements of the research that is carried out by the #BeeWell team.
The programme will introduce young people to the world of academic research, with a focus on wellbeing, whilst also ensuring that youth voice is present throughout every aspect of #BeeWell. Young Researchers will develop their knowledge and skills in research and statistics, be presented with a certificate of participation and will share their findings with their peers at school. Watch this space for updates on what they get up to!
Changes to how we store your data
We want to let you know that #BeeWell will soon be transferring to a new data management system, to centralise our project data. This will involve a change in how we handle your personal data and where we store it, in order to contact you via email to share our newsletter. If we contact you via email, we will be in touch later this month to seek your consent to move your details across to our new system.
