In autumn 2025, we surveyed Years 7, 8 and 10, following feedback from schools and partners across the city-region. In the next academic year (2026/27), we will survey Years 7, 9 and 10.
Alternative provisions, pupil referral units and special schools also have the option to survey additional year groups, to ensure you can hear from at least ten pupils and receive school-level insights in your survey feedback.
For more information on taking part in #BeeWell in 2026/27, make sure to read our Welcome Pack:
And a full timeline for the 2026/27 academic year can be found here.
You can also find recorded webinars on our YouTube channel that go through the technical and logistical requirements of the survey, how to introduce the survey to pupils and #BeeWell in non-mainstream settings. These are all available here: #BeeWell webinars.

Pupil password distribution guide
In the week commencing 29th September 2025 (or, after enough time has passed since your school sent out the parent/carer opt-out forms) you will be sent your list of pupil passwords. Pupils need these passwords in order to log on to the survey. We have produced a new guide this year that demonstrates how you can use Excel to merge your pupil password list with class lists, for example, to make it easier to distribute passwords between classes and pupils.
You can read the Pupil Password Distribution Guide here, or watch a video demonstration below on how this works. You may also want to contact your school’s IT support to see if they can help you with this.
For any other questions about survey delivery, we would love to hear from you and see how we can best support you to take part. Get in touch with beewell@manchester.ac.uk.
