The Gatsby Benchmarks define what world class careers provision in education looks like and provide a clear framework for organising the careers provision in a school or college. Compass helps in evaluating careers activity against eight benchmarks of best practice – known as the Gatsby Benchmarks.

schools. It clarifies the skills, knowledge and
attitudes that individuals need to have a
positive career and explores how secondary
schools can support pupils to build their career
