#BeeWell announces funding partnership with Children in Need
This week, we were pleased to announce that we have entered into a partnership with BBC Children in Need’s A Million & Me programme, to strengthen the ways that youth voice is embedded in our programme. The funding will support a dedicated post within our team to work with young people and will lead to an innovative social prescribing pilot in five of Greater Manchester’s neighbourhoods.

Schools across Greater Manchester have received their first #BeeWell data dashboards!
On the 31st January, we were very pleased to share with schools their first bespoke #BeeWell data dashboards. This is the first time that schools will be receiving this in-depth data on their pupil’s wellbeing. The reports will provide insights into what young people told us was important to their wellbeing, from understanding themselves and their relationships with others, to their access to hobbies and culture.
This month we are holding two webinars to support schools on understanding their data dashboards; and the Child Outcomes Research Consortium will be providing one-to-one support sessions to help schools plan their response to the data. Later in the year we will be forming Communities of Practice, to facilitate the sharing of best-practice responses to the survey results across Greater Manchester.
#BeeWell Young Researcher Programme
Our #BeeWell Young Researcher pilot began last month, and we were joined by some 15 young people who are ready to help shape the focus of our place-based #BeeWell data analysis. In the first session of the five-part programme participants identified the areas that they wanted to focus on in future sessions and created hypothesis and research questions to test and explore.
#BeeWell creative commissions from KYSO and Bury Met Youth Theatre!
This month we’re pleased to share with our partners two #BeeWell Day creative commission pieces from Greater Manchester organisations and young people.
KYSO, a music and performing arts group based in Moss Side, Manchester, were commissioned to create music based on our #BeeWell Day theme: ‘what makes you happy?’ The song they performed on the day is a must-listen!
We can also share with you amazing workshops and role-plays from #BeeWell Day created by Bury Met Youth Theatre! The theatre used this commission to explore the themes of emotions and relationships using drama.
You can find both creative commissions here!
