#BeeWell HIPS youth co-creation commissioning grant – now open

#BeeWell Youth Co-creation Commissioning Grant – Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, Southampton (HIPS)

Young people across HIPS continue to be at the heart of the #BeeWellyoung people’s wellbeing programme.

Following the success of our 2025 commissioned projects such as the Enterprise Project in Rowner and Music Fusion and Havant and East Hants MIND, we have a total fund of £25,000 available to support local initiatives to improve the wellbeing of young people.

The grant will support organisations that work with young people to create positive activities and opportunities to improve their wellbeing in one or more of the following areas:

  • Reducing discrimination
  • Increasing physical activity opportunities
  • Increasing self-esteem creatively
  • Improved health outcomes for LGBTQ+ and SEND young people
  • Improve school connection/school belonging for young people

These areas of focus have been co-created with young people working with the #BeeWell programme.

Individual grants up to £5000 are available to either fund, or act as a contribution to a project in the above areas.

Who can apply

Organisations working in the Voluntary, Community or Social Enterprise sector, supporting young people in Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton.

We welcome applications which will require the following information:

  • An outline of your project/activities and associated costs
  • How you are using #BeeWell data to support your application, this may be by focusing on a specific domain/driver (e.g. Physical Activity within the neighbourhood dashboard) or by using the data to identify specific neighbourhoods/areas to focus the projects in.
  • Proposed plan to include young people in the design process and decision making.
  • Demonstrate how this project is not a duplication of something else available locally to show the evidence of demand.
  • A commitment to spend and complete activities by 31st December 2026
  • Evaluation details of how you will monitor the impact of the project.

We will prioritise funding for new projects, based on the priorities identified by our young people, however if you plan to apply for funding to add value to an existing project, please demonstrate clearly how this funding will add value and improve wellbeing.

How are grants decided?

A grant review panel, consisting of cross sector representatives and young people, will consider applications for funding and will aim to let applicants know the outcome by mid-May 2026

We encourage you to read our guidance document the prior to application, which provides further detail to support your application.
