More than 55,000 young people took part in the 2024/25 #BeeWell survey!
We would like to say a huge thank you to all of the young people who completed the #BeeWell survey this year, and to the more than 220 schools who supported their students to take part!
We are really pleased to have listened to more than 55,000 young people via this year’s survey and we are excited to continue working further with young people and partners across society to act on the survey results!

Shining a spotlight on anti-bullying research and practice
Tackling bullying is key to improving young people’s wellbeing. The UK has the second highest rates of bullying among 15-year-olds across 27 European countries, and our analysis indicates that by tackling bullying, we could prevent nearly 1 in 5 cases of young people’s significant feelings of worry or sadness. That’s why we’ve been shining a spotlight on our research findings, sharing good practice and platforming young people’s experiences during November and December.
We’ve published a series of blogs summarising the latest research findings on bullying, which you can read here.. We have delivered a set of school support webinars and peer learning sessions focused on creating inclusive and supportive environments. And we’ve been celebrating a hard-hitting play written and performed by young people in Southampton, shaped using #BeeWell data and their own personal experiences.

Greater Manchester Youth Steering Group callout for stories of day-to-day success
#BeeWell believes that young people’s wellbeing is as important as their academic attainment. We know that ‘success’ can mean all kinds of different things!
Our GM steering group are looking for stories from young people who feel like they’ve been successful in ways other than their school grades. Maybe it’s through volunteer work, accessing support for worries or mental health, or simply feeling good about themselves in a way that improves their wellbeing.
The group plans to collate these stories to create a web-based resource highlighting the impact of success in these areas of young people’s lives.
If you are a GM-based organisation or school and have ‘success stories’ that your young people would like to showcase, please get in touch with our GM Youth Co-Creation Lead Fran Slater: fran.slater@greatermanchester-ca.gov.uk
