#BeeWell Festival 2022, supported by 42nd Street, took place on the 22nd September and marked the start of our first ever #BeeWell Week. The Festival took place at Depot Mayfield, and hosted activities to support and celebrate wellbeing.
The day began with a workshop of young people from 15 different schools across Greater Manchester, facilitated by The Shoopery. Almost 150 young people got involved in the workshop, with the aim of ‘letting go’!
Our partners at 42nd Street hosted a Get Creative Zone, where young people could make positive portraits about themselves. GreaterSport provided fantastic opportunities for young people to try new physical activities, including circus training, skateboarding and soft-archery.
Young people could also visit the #BeeWell marketplace, where our partners (including Kooth, Manchester International Festival, Plan-UK, The Proud Trust, Renaisi, Reform Radio and 42nd Street) spoke to attendees about opportunities and activities they could get involved in. Our partners at Sick Festival also brought brilliant installations and an arcade game all about young people’s mental health.
In the evening session, youth organisations across Greater Manchester joined the festival. We heard from young artists at Reform Radio, who performed their pieces about wellbeing.
Thank you to our fantastic partners who made the Festival happen!
